RealToonTv has a discussion with Fort Worth Community Activist, Charleston White about the fallen Fort Worth rapper Channel 5 JDub.
Channel 5 Jdub was a promising rapper from Fort Worth, TX. He was tragically murdered on February 24, 2020, he was only 17 years old. Charleston White reflects on hearing about JDub allegedly entering a strip club with a weapon, shooting one of the patrons, then later writing a song about it. He doesn’t blame JDub for his behavior. He blames the culture and community surrounding him. He calls out to the city council to enforce that the club receive consequences for allowing a minor with a firearm to enter the establishment, such as the loss of their liquor license. He commended interviewer John “Toon” Davis for being one of the only people to reach out to this young man, shining light on his darkness. Taking a stand to make the world stop and watch the effects of this culture on our youth. Charleston speaking on JDub, “I admire his heart, I admire his tenacity, I admire his boldness. Misguided, undecided, looking for direction at an intersection. He put in enough work for three generations. He’s a martyr, He’s a black martyr!”
