Artist/ Creative
How did you get into the field that you are in today?
I’ve gotten some I feel really just from watching movies when I was younger I always wanted to know what was happening behind the scenes and how they made everything play out.
What do you love most about your profession?
What I love most about my profession is how diverse it is with the type of skills that you learn as well as the type of job that you can take on. If I do not find one thing interesting I could always do something else behind the scenes
Tell us more about what you do?
I’m interested in photography, videography, content creations as well as video editing. I also find audio engineering interesting as well as social media marketing
When did you discover that you had a passion for this field?
I discovered I was passionate about this field when I was in middle school I used to spend every single day sitting in the house watching movies back the back to back. I was so obsessed with watching movies that I never went outside as a child which is why a lot of people never knew that my brothers and sisters had an older sister
Who in your field do you look up to inspire to be like or admire and why?
I never actually looked up to anyone in my field but I do have one professor name Arthur Murray who kind of help me push my passion a little bit more in the field. He inspired me by helping me believe that I could do whatever I put my mind to as well as giving me the necessary skills show me that I can be just as good as a professional.
None of us would be where we are today if it wasn’t for some form of mentorship or free game being dropped on us. What gems do you have to give to someone looking to get into your field?
What I would say to someone in this field is it is always important to network. Networking in this field is very important because you don’t necessarily need a degree and this field if you can find the right person that could punch you in the right direction you can build the skills that you need overtime.
Where are you from?
Houston, Tx
How was it growing up? Was it always or were there struggles? What are some of the struggles you had to overcome?
Growing up for me was pretty much a struggle. I am the oldest out of five kids and my mother was a single mother. I had to take the toll on a lot of issues plus if anything ever happened I would be the one to keep the whooping for it even though I had nothing to do with the issue. I also have to grow up faster because my mom cannot handle certain things alone. We went days without water and without paying the rent on time and without lights so majority of my life was a struggle.
How important is family and friend support? Do they support your business?
Family and friends support is very important when you’re trying to become someone your life. I know this because I never actually got any family or friend support in My journey so I know how important it can be when you have it because it’s a whole another feeling they can help with you a little bit.
What would you tell a younger you about life?
Life will choke you up and spit you out
no one is going to do anything for you you have to be willing to do it for yourself.
Who inspired you growing up and why?
No one actually inspired me growing up but what did inspire me is seeing people come from a struggle similar to mine and actually be successful
